The Opportunities Denied | The Opportunities Afforded | The Possibilities of What Can Be

Stay Humble, Stay Hungry

The words to live by are “Stay Humble, Stay Hungry.” I was taught early on by my grandmother to always work hard, and have humility in success. Born and raised in Anaheim, CA. My community are constant reminders to use my education and experience to benefit others. Always pay it forward. Now a researcher, educator, and scholar working towards racial justice in higher education.

Community College HigherEd Access Leadership Equity Scholarship (CCHALES)

CCHALES is a research collective focused on examining the systems, structures, and practices within higher education that hinder racial equity. We conduct policy-relevant and practice-focused scholarship to improve the conditions, experiences, and outcomes for racially-minoritized students.

Research Projects

Check out the research projects being conducted by me and the CCHALES squad focused on exploring the ways policies, people, and practices work towards addressing racial disparities in higher education. As much as possible, we share our data, tools, and in-progress results.
